In every city, there are people for whom simple things are particularly challenging. For people with hearing impairments and limited mobility, traveling in the metro becomes a real challenge. To address this issue, the "Megapolis" company, in collaboration with the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDS) and the Kyiv Metro municipal enterprise, has installed 107 information kiosks equipped with video cameras and microphones for communication with the station staff at 48 stations.
The task was to offer a solution that would help passengers of a specific station while remaining an effective advertising medium in the metro. Information kiosks are modern interactive devices with a video screen and audio communication with a dispatcher. To access video information, users must select one of the proposed buttons:
- Metro map;
- Exit videos;
- Exit descriptions;
Whether you need to find a specific street and are unsure about the correct exit – video kiosks are there to help. Interested in nearby attractions – information is at your service. Wondering where to exit and which surface transport route is needed for a transfer – you have the information at your fingertips. Buttons for contacting the station staff and requesting assistance are located on the side panel of each kiosk. There is no need to go back to the escalators to ask questions or seek help – it can be done with a single button press. Agree, it's very convenient and comfortable, making it a unique feature for public transportation.
At the same time, there is a full-fledged opportunity to display high-quality video content on a 65" 4K-format screen for advertising purposes. The video block lasts 5 minutes: 2 minutes of social content and 3 minutes of advertising. The screen transmits:
- Interactive social content (detailed map of aboveground and underground transport in Kyiv; informational video about the location of this metro station and surrounding objects, shot from a bird's-eye view);
- Advertising videos provided by "Megapolis" clients (the duration can vary from 5 to 180 seconds, in multiples of 5 seconds).
There are 60 two-sided and 47 one-sided structures available for advertising placement in the Kyiv metro. Such a non-traditional approach can become a marketing "highlight" for your business, significantly enhancing its image and recognition.
