In our previous articles, we discussed various ways for businesses to establish communication with the audience within the territory of Ukraine. But what about the Ukrainian audience residing outside our country? Is it possible to establish effective communication with them for further interaction, both upon their return to Ukraine and within the territory of another country? The answer is below.
As of August 10, 2022, the number of displaced Ukrainians abroad was 6.38 million people*. Among them, 4.4 million people were excluding those displaced to Russia. This audience is entirely open to establishing contact. Therefore, it is important and necessary to communicate with them.
According to official UN data, Poland has received the largest number of Ukrainian refugees – 1.27 million people, which constitutes 20% of the total externally displaced persons. Every sixth refugee is in one of the following cities: Warsaw (120,000 displaced), Wroclaw (45,000), Krakow (32,000), Poznan (31,000). Ukrainians most often use the Polish border for returning or traveling to other countries. Thus, 3.26 million people crossed the border from Poland to Ukraine, accounting for 72% of all border crossings to Ukraine.
*UNHCR data. The flow of refugees to Russia may involve deportation
Our team is working on establishing communication with Ukrainians abroad. Analyzing data about this audience, we know which communication channels businesses should use to make this interaction productive.
